A Love Letter....

Dear Friend,

                   
How are you? I just had to send a note to
tell you how much I love you and care about you. I saw
you yesterday as you were talking with your friends. I
waited all day, hoping you would want to talk with Me
also.
As evening drew near, I gave you a sunset to close
your day and a cool breeze to rest you and I waited. You
never came. Oh, yes, it hurts Me, but I still love you
because I am your Friend. I saw you fall asleep last night
and longed to touch your brow, so I spilled moonlight
upon your pillow and face.
Again I waited, wanting to rush down so we could talk. I
have so many gifts for you! You awakened late and
rushed off to work. My tears were in the rain. Today you
looked so sad-so all alone. It makes My heart ache
because I understand.
   My friends let Me down and hurt Me many times, too, but I love you. Oh, if you would only listen to Me. I love you! I try to tell you in the blue sky and in the quiet green grass. I whisper it in the leaves on the trees and breathe it in the colors of flowers. I shout it to you in mountain streams and give the birds love songs to sing. I clothe you with warm sunshine and perfume the air with nature scents.
  My love for you is deeper than the ocean and bigger than the biggest want or need in your head. Oh, if you only knew how much I want to walk and talk with you.We could spend an eternity together in heaven. I know how hard it is on this earth; I really know! And I want to help you.I want you to meet My Father. He wants to help you, too.
  My Father is that way, you know. Just call Me – ask Me – talk with Me! Oh, please don’t forget Me. I have so much to share with you! ‘All right, I won’t bother you any further. You are free to choose Me. It’s your decision. I have chosen you, and because of this I will wait-because I love you!

കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസം കേരളത്തിലെ പ്രശസ്ത ഹോട്ടല്‍ ഗ്രൂപ്പ്‌ ആയ "തക്കാരം" ത്തിന്റെ തിരുവനന്തപുരത്തെ ഹോട്ടലില്‍ നിന്നും ഒന്ന് കഴിച്ചു. എനിക്ക് ഇവരോടൊക്കെ ഒന്നേ പറയാനുള്ളൂ. നിങ്ങളുണ്ടാക്കി വെച്ച ട്രെയിനും ബസ്സും വാതില്‍ക്കല്‍ നിക്കുന്ന ഉമ്മച്ചി കുട്ടിയെയും ഒന്നും കാണാന്‍ അല്ല ആളുകള്‍ അവിടെ വരുന്നത്. മനസ്സ് ഒന്നും നിറച്ചില്ലെങ്കിലും മനുഷ്യനെ വെറുപ്പിക്കരുത് എന്നൊരു അപേക്ഷയുണ്ട്. ജീവിതത്തില്‍ ഇന്ന് വരെ ഇങ്ങനെ ഒരു "ആട്ടിറച്ചി ബിരിയാണി" ഞാന്‍ കഴിച്ചിട്ടില്ല. സാധനങ്ങളുടെ വില കഴുത്തറപ്പ് ആണെന് ന് പിന്നെ പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് പറയേണ്ടതില്ലല്ലോ. അവസാനം ഒന്ന് മനസ്സിലായി. ഈ വനിതയിലെ നടിനടന്മാരുടെയൊക്കെ ഫീച്ചറും ടീവിയിലെ വാര്‍ത്തയുമൊന്നും കണ്ടു കഴിക്കാന്‍ വേണ്ടി ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടി പോവരുത്. ചങ്ങനാശ്ശേരി മടുക്കുംമൂട് avees ലെ കരിമീന്‍ പൊള്ളിച്ചതിന്റെ ഓക്കാനം ഇപ്പോഴും വായിന്നു പോയിട്ടില്ല, ഒരുമാതിരി പൊള്ളിയോ കരിഞ്ഞോ എന്ന് അറിയാന്‍ മേലാത്ത അവസ്ഥ. ദുര്യോഗം എന്താണെന്ന് വെച്ചാല്‍ ഇവിടൊക്കെ പോയി പത്തു രണ്ടായിരം രൂപയ്ക്കു ഓര്‍ഡര്‍ ചെയ്തു കഴിച്ചു തുടങ്ങുമ്പോഴാണല്ലോ കാര്യങ്ങള്‍ വ്യക്തമാകുന്നത്. കൊച്ചിക്ക് പ...

ഒരു ജനപ്രിയ നേതാവിന്റെ മരണം- ചില ചിന്തകൾ

ഒരു വർഷം ആയിട്ടില്ല. പ്രളയദുരിതമൊക്കെ ഒന്ന് കെട്ടടങ്ങിയ സമയത്താണ് വിശാഖപട്ടണത്തുള്ള സുഹൃത്തിന്റെ വിവാഹം കൂടിയശേഷം നാട്ടിലേക്കുള്ള വരവിൽ ആദ്യമായി ചെന്നൈ നഗരത്തിലെത്തുന്നത്. ഉച്ചക്ക് രണ്ടരക്കുള്ള ട്രെയിനിൽ കയറുന്നത് വരെ നേരം കളയാൻ വേണ്ടിയാണ് ഞാൻ മറീന ബീച്ചിലേക്ക് പോകുന്നത്. തിരിച്ചു പുറത്തിറങ്ങി റോഡ് ക്രോസ്സ് ചെയ്യാൻ തുടങ്ങിയപ്പോഴാണ് ഒരു വനിതാ പോലീസ് വന്നിട്ട് പറയുന്നത്:  "Sir, Please wait for 5 minutes. Our CM is coming". ആർക്കും ദർശനം കിട്ടാത്ത ഒരു അവസ്ഥയിൽ എനിക്ക് സിദ്ദിച്ച ഭാഗ്യമോർത്തു ഞാൻ അങ്ങനെ നിന്നു. ഒരു 10-12 കാറുകൾ ഒന്നിന് പിറകെ ഒന്നായി പോകുന്നു. ചിലതിൽ വീഡിയോ ഷൂട്ട് ചെയുന്നു. ചിലതിൽ എന്തൊക്കെയോ സുരക്ഷാ ഉപകരണങ്ങൾ ഘടിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. SP, IG റാങ്കിൽ കുറയാത്ത ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥരൊക്കെ ആയിരുന്നു ഓരോന്നിലും. അവസാനം അമ്മയെത്തി. പ്രാഡോയുടെ മുൻ സീറ്റിൽ ചിരിച്ചു കൈകൾ കൂപ്പി ഇരിക്കുന്നു. അതൊരു മാസ്സ് എൻട്രി തന്നെ ആരുന്നൂന്നു പറയാം. പിറകെയും കുറെ വണ്ടികളുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അവസാനം ബ്ലോക്ക് ചെയ്തിരുന്ന റോഡ് തുറന്നുകൊടുക്കാൻ അവിടെ നിന്നിരുന്ന പോലീസ്‌കാർക്ക...
